What Is This Opportunity?The IMF Internship Program is a highly competitive summer program that places exceptional graduate students and recent PhD graduates in research and policy roles across the IMF's departments. The IMF, headquartered in Washington, DC, works with 190 member countries to promote global monetary cooperation, secure financial stability, and foster sustainable economic growth. As an intern, you will contribute to the analytical and operational work that underpins the IMF's advice, surveillance, and technical assistance to member countries worldwide.

- Graduate students currently enrolled in a master's or PhD programme in economics, finance, public policy, or a related discipline
- Recent PhD graduates (within two years of completion) may also be eligible
- Citizens of IMF member countries from any region of the world
- Strong quantitative skills and demonstrated academic excellence are essential

As an IMF intern, you will work within one of the Fund's research or policy departments, contributing to data analysis, economic modelling, report drafting, and policy recommendations.
