The Deputy Associate Administrator (AA) for Commercial Sealift is the Senior Executive that participates fully in policy determining functions and as a member of the executive team of the Maritime Administration (MARAD). The Deputy AA serves as the principal liaison between MARAD and policy making officials of private industry concerned with or subject to cargo preference laws and Jones Act issues within the purview of MARAD.
