Grant Specialist
Job Location s: US-DC-DC (3 days a week onsite) Security Clearance:
Public Trust (USAID) Responsibilities Agensys is seeking several Grant Specialists. The specialist will provide expert guidance on the procedural, legal, and operational requirements for terminating grants, ensuring compliance with USAID and U.S. Government regulations. This is a hybrid, full-time role in the Washington DC area, working closely with Agreement Officers (AOs), legal counsel, technical offices, and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform financial administration functions including expenditure review, and reimbursement processing.
* Maintain a high level of commitment while tending to multiple tasks and priorities with attention to detail.
* Coordinates with the AO when problems or conflicts occur that might impact the timely completion of work.
* Collaborate with grant recipients and AO to ensure all closeout actions are completed.
* Compose closeout letters (as applicable) for dissemination to grant recipients.
* Review and process actions necessary for proper closeout of Federal awards.
* Process actions in USAID's grants and financial management system.
* Request and review final indirect cost rate agreements, as necessary.
* Perform final review of completed awards and required reports and make recommendations to the AO.
* Review financial reports submitted by grant recipients and verify accuracy of financial report; recommend follow-up actions to the AO as applicable.
* Ensure completeness of grants file and track closeout actions.
* Monitor the status of the de-obligation of Federal funds. Work on-site 3 days per week Qualifications
* At least 5 years of experience in US government grant management with at least 1 year of experience terminating grants and negotiating final award budgets.
* Bachelor's degree in Business.
* Capability to quickly assimilate new information and become proficient in topics for which they may not have knowledge, e.g. Government to Government, Title II, Interagency Awards, and Public International Organizations. Security Clearance:
