Position: NATURAL RESOURCES SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Duties Help
* You will serve as a technical expert in natural resource issues in support of the Navy, Marine Corps, and DoD.
* You will prepare and administer annual budgets for the U.S. Navy Forestry, Agricultural Out-lease, and Sikes Act Fee Collections Program ensuring resources align with mission requirements and long-term sustainment of the programs.
* You will manage the Navy Forestry Program, Agricultural Out-lease Program and Sikes Act Fee Collections Program.
* You will support natural resources project execution and provide natural resources products and services to support the accomplishment of military actions and operations in compliance with natural resources laws, regulations, and policies. Requirements Help Conditions of employment

* Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
* Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver`s license.
* You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment. Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Serving as a project manager for Navy natural resources projects, such as development of contractor scopes of work/performance work statements, government estimates, funds management, contractor proposal review and negotiation, contractor oversight, invoicing, and contracting officer representative (COR) duties,
2) Providing guidance, coordination and technical expertise on Navy natural resources issues and processes,
3)

Experience with Federal, state, and local laws and regulations, DON and DOW policies and processes related to natural resources management.

Or A combination of education and experience in one of the above majors that includes at least 24 semester hours in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or a discipline related to this position plus appropriate experience or additional education.
