The Environment and Natural Resources Division (ENRD) is responsible for bringing cases against those who violate the nation's environmental laws as well as defending the federal government in litigation arising under a broad range of environmental statutes.

The application process used to recruit for this position is RESUME-ONLY. - MTQ 1: Demonstrated expertise in federal environmental and natural resources statutes and regulatory frameworks, including the ability to interpret, implement, and defend complex statutory schemes; oversee high-profile civil and appellate litigation; and provide strategic legal counsel on matters involving national environmental policy, public lands, wildlife, energy development, and natural resources matters.
- MTQ 2: Demonstrated experience leading large, multidisciplinary legal teams in complex environmental and natural resources matters, including setting litigation strategy, managing risk in cases with significant policy and fiscal implications, coordinating with stakeholder agencies at both the local and national level and advancing Administration priorities consistent with statutory and regulatory authorities.
