- You will serve as a management advisor using a high-level of discernment and judgment to address a wide variety of interrelated subject matter, that can include financial, contractual, programmatic, or other program office focus areas.
- You will be responsible for assisting with the award and management of contracts.
- You will ensure contract documents are prepared and executed in accordance with Program PAPM/APM work scope.
- You will monitor obligations and expenditures against executable spend plans to ensure expenditure benchmarks are met and responding to data calls from higher authorities.
- You will identify problems and develop/implement solutions to maximize efficiencies for fund execution and contract management.
- You will contribute as an integral project team member/leader on program tasking along with sharing knowledge and assisting other team members.
- You will lead studies, surveys, reviews, and/or research projects to evaluate program accomplishments, effectiveness, and/or compliance with meeting specific goals, objectives, rules, and regulations.
- You will provide long range plans for the cost, performance, and schedule of diverse teams and acquisition efforts within the scope of assigned areas. Requirements Conditions of employment

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition
Functional Area
and category assigned to the position is required within established category time frames. - This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Non-Key Security Cooperation Workforce (SCW) position and requires a DoD SCW Certification. Selectee must obtain and maintain certification within prescribed time frames. SCW level required:
Practitioner Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at the lower pay band NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing acquisition program data to monitor contractor costs and develop solutions to maximize efficiencies in contract management operations.
