Our Client is seeking a motivated professional to work as a Direct Support Professional
- Trained Medication Employee (TME) in the Washington, DC area.

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY

* Support persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with physical disability or medical and behavioral challenges

* Assist Individuals with their daily activities, perform light housekeeping, run errands, and provide companionship

* Provide a secure and responsive environment that enables Individuals to maximize their physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual capabilities

* Provide independent living skills training, and guidance to residents regarding social skills, transportation, health and personal hygiene, food preparation, and housekeeping

* Provide patient care, update records, and accurately complete forms

* Transport and accompany to appointments, community events, and outings

CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

* Successful candidates will have a passion for assisting others

* Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent

* Medication Technician certification required

* Demonstrated ability to follow written and/or oral instructions, administer medications, and document dosages and times.

* Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record

* Willingness and ability to interact with clients and Individuals in a positive manner within and throughout the community.

COMPENSATION RATE: $20+/hour
