The Clinical Instructor – Mental Health Nursing is responsible for the clinical education and supervision of nursing students in mental health settings. This role involves mentoring students, facilitating their hands-on learning in psychiatric/behavioral health environments, and ensuring alignment with the curriculum and national nursing standards. The ideal candidate is a dedicated nursing professional with clinical experience in mental health and a passion for teaching.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Nursing preferred; BSN plus certification in specialty or enrollment in a master’s program accepted
- Current RN license (or eligibility) in the District of Columbia
- Minimum of two years’ clinical experience in mental health/psychiatric nursing
- Teaching experience preferred, but not required
- Commitment to the mission and values of The Catholic University of America
