Transport Team Paramedic Eligible Ground and Flight

Overview

Transport Team Paramedic position, 36 hours weekly, ground and flight. Base pay range: $64,230.40 to $ per year. Sign-on bonus eligibility of $15,000.

• Provide safe, efficient and effective inter-facility transport for ill and injured patients.
• Provide advanced life support care to stabilize and transport patients, may operate under online medical direction or standing protocols with physician direction.
• Staff in the Emergency Communications and Information Center as needed.
• Perform patient assessment, prioritize care, re-assess continuously, and respond to clinical changes across age groups.
• Maintain and operate transport and patient care equipment; administer medications per policies and scope of practice; document care per guidelines.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with referring physicians, ECIC, CNH physicians, and receiving providers; complete transport documentation timely.
• Uphold patient, family centered care and participate in safety, quality, and performance improvement activities.

• Minimum Education:
  
  High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• Work Experience:
  
  1 year ALS experience in pre-hospital or inter-facility transport (Required); 2 years ALS experience preferred.
• Required
  
  Licenses/Certifications:
  
  Nationally Registered Paramedic (NRP) Upon Hire;
  Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Upon Hire;
  Basic Life Support (BLS) Upon Hire; ACLS Upon Hire;
  Specialty certification in pediatric/neonatal critical care transport (2 years) Upon Hire;
  Maryland/DC state certifications (prior to orientation);
  Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 120 days.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; clinical expertise, problem solving and independent decision making; IT proficiency.
• Clear, professional hearing and speaking abilities for effective communication.
