Job Summary

Aller Vie Health is seeking a friendly, organized, and service‑oriented Medical Front Desk Representative to join our team. This vital role serves as the first point of contact for our patients and plays a key part in ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience at our clinic.

Location: 3301 New Mexico Ave N.W. Suite 223, Washington foxhall, DC 20016

Pay Range: Starting pay is $20 an hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients warmly upon arrival and manage check‑in and check‑out processes with professionalism, accuracy, and care.
  • Answer incoming calls, address questions and concerns, route calls appropriately, and take messages as needed.
  • Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars, including follow‑ups and adjustments for delays or changes.
  • Register new patients and maintain accurate demographic, insurance, and financial information.
  • Facilitate smooth patient flow by communicating arrivals, wait times, and updates with clinical staff and providers.
  • Collect co‑pays and payments at the time of service, including deductibles and outstanding balances; explain billing policies and assist patients as needed.
  • Maintain and update patient records through data entry, scanning, faxing, and document management.
  • Verify insurance eligibility, referrals, and authorizations in preparation for upcoming appointments.
  • Review billing questions, claims, or denials and gather required information to support resolution.
  • Monitor office supplies, coordinate equipment needs, and support daily administrative operations and special projects as needed.
Qualifications, Education, and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare or medical front office setting strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, etc.) and electronic scheduling or EMR systems.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Regular use of hands and arms to write, type, and operate standard office equipment.
  • Occasional physical activity, including reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, or maintaining balance as needed.
  • Perform repetitive tasks such as typing and reaching, including occasional overhead reaching.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Visual ability to maintain focus, depth perception, and peripheral awareness in a clinical office environment.
