X-Ray Tech / Radiologic Tech

Location: Washington DC NW

Pay From: $36 per hour

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an X-Ray Technician.
• Basic PC skills, including RIS/PACS experience.
• High school diploma or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Valid and current X-Ray certification.

• Shoot X-rays in an Urgent Care setting.
• Obtain quality images using correct positions, markers, and exposure.
• Implement safety procedures for patients, self, and staff to avoid unnecessary exposure to radiation.
• Understand how to process images using CR and archiving images through PACS.
• Handle physician requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Serve and protect the practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
• Prepare patients for examination by triaging and reporting patient history summary. Aid front desk in patient check‑in.
• Facilitate a smooth and efficient operation of the clinical department by monitoring patient flow and decreasing wait times.
