Travel Ultrasound Technologist

Job Overview

TNAA Total Med Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Washington, District of Columbia.

Job . Pay is paid on a 12‑hour shift basis for 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend to be determined.

• Operate ultrasound equipment to produce accurate images and pass them on to physicians for interpretation.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures, including ultrasound‑guided biopsies.
• Educate patients and/or their families about the procedures performed.
• Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff.
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machine failures.
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results.
• Maintain accurate patient records and use the McKesson PACS system.
• Stand, walk, bend, lean or stoop for long periods without difficulty.

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
• BLS certification.
• ARDMS National Certification – preferred: RDMS OB/GYN, RDMS AB, RDMS RVT.
• State‑specific licensing when required.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean or stoop for extended periods.
