Job Overview
TNAA Total Med Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Washington, District of Columbia.
Job . Pay is paid on a 12‑hour shift basis for 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend to be determined.
Responsibilities- Operate ultrasound equipment to produce accurate images and pass them on to physicians for interpretation.
- Prepare exam rooms and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures, including ultrasound‑guided biopsies.
- Educate patients and/or their families about the procedures performed.
- Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff.
- Maintain sonography equipment and report machine failures.
- Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results.
- Maintain accurate patient records and use the McKesson PACS system.
- Stand, walk, bend, lean or stoop for long periods without difficulty.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
- BLS certification.
- ARDMS National Certification – preferred: RDMS OB/GYN, RDMS AB, RDMS RVT.
- State‑specific licensing when required.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean or stoop for extended periods.
- Travel assignment – 13 weeks.
- 36 hours per week; 12‑hour night shifts.
