Certified Medical Assistant duties include:

• chart review before patient clinical visit
• assisting physician with procedures/treatments
• equipment operation
• assisting patients in preparation for examination/procedure
• performs venipuncture
• specimen collection and submission to appropriate laboratory
• cleaning and sterilization of instrumentation
• order and inventory supplies
• records and documents in medical record
• maintains examination/procedure room supplies
• assists with efficient patient flow
• assists with orientation of new staff
• participates in quality assurance programs

Full Time (40 hours)

Day Shift; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Weekend Work Not Required

Work requires a high school level of educational development and graduation from an accredited medical assistant training program with less than 6 months experience.

Certification as a Medical Assistant by an approved national examination agency required.

Current CPR/ BLS Certification

Work requires the ability to gather and exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments, greet visitors, explain medical center policies, and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel. This type of interaction requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors and/or medical center employees. More sensitive situations may be referred to others as appropriate.

Minimum $18.09/hour - Maximum $29.87/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
