Director, Market Access - Consulting

Our client is a Washington DC-based healthcare policy and market access advisory firm operating at the intersection of coding, coverage, payment, and health policy. The team partners closely with life sciences, diagnostics, and medtech clients to optimise reimbursement pathways, influence policy, and drive sustainable patient access - combining boutique agility with the backing and stability of a large national platform.

The Director will support clients and consultants with market access, optimizing coding, coverage, and payment for technologies, influencing health policy, and driving clinical adoption and patient access.

The role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and effective team collaboration.

As part of the Market Access team, you will provide expertise in Medicare, Medicaid, private commercial coverage, coding, and payment policies, focusing on sectors like diagnostics, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and biologics.

• Lead market access projects, set targets, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Collaborate with the team to solve complex client challenges and provide innovative solutions.
• Develop strategic recommendations for optimal market access and stay updated on relevant health policy changes.
• Engage in business development activities, including proposal writing, client interactions, and marketing efforts.

• 5+ years in market access/reimbursement
• Experience with AMA CPT code change applications
• Conducted market access assessments and Researched coverage policies
• Understanding of Medicare payment systems and existing claims
