Outpatient Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist

In-person RDN part-time outpatient position is available on South Hill in Puyallup, Washington. This independent position involves assisting in nutrition education, guidance, support, coaching and accountability for physician-referred patients. The patient population includes individuals with health conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, celiac disease, Crohn's disease, IBS/SIBO, lipid management and obesity/weight management.

Dependent on which day(s) of week RDN will be available to work.

• Provide multiple 60-minute Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) sessions in-person to engage patients and support optimal clinical outcomes.
• Offer remote MNT when transportation issues, inclement weather, illness of the patient, or illness of a family member arise.
• Educate, guide, support, coach and hold patients accountable to their nutrition plans.
• Develop and implement a consistent plan of care for patients with various health conditions in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Build rapport with patients through listening and relationship-building to encourage adherence to MNT recommendations.
• Contribute to a positive professional reputation within the community and with referring providers.

• Bachelor's Degree
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
• Certified in Washington state through the Department of Health (DOH)
• Independent practitioner
• Self-motivated & personable
• Efficient & thorough
• Reliable & responsible

• MNT outpatient experience is a plus
• Active listening and strong communication to build trust and foster adherence

Up to $10,000 in bonuses/retention. External candidates only. Requires a 2-year commitment.
