Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Job Details:

• Work 3 or 4 x 12-hour shifts with day shift hours from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM and evening hours from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM

• Majority of shifts are day shifts with up to two weeks of evening shifts per six-week schedule

• On-call requirement: 6 calls per 6-week schedule

• Weekend and holiday requirement: 1 weekend shift and/or 1 holiday per 6-week schedule

• Float requirement:
May float to general surgery if no cardiac cases available

• Scrubs provided by facility

• 2 years of experience required with knowledge of aseptic technique, case cart, and scrubbing

• Experience with cardiac and vascular surgical cases required

• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred

• Crash cart and XI Robotics experience preferred

• Experience preferred in multiple surgical specialties including General, Ortho, Urology, Thoracic, Neuro, Transplant, and others

• Work with patients across all age groups: adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

• Handle all service lines and cases in a 21-room surgical department

• Daily census of 40 patients

• Must complete facility-specific modules within one week of contract signing

• Two supervisor references required

• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions

The surgical department handles a diverse caseload with 21 operating rooms and serves as a regional referral center for complex cardiovascular and surgical cases.
