Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Ambulatory Surgery Center
Location: Washington, DC 20037
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 5x8 Hour Shifts (Afternoons or Midnights – Final schedule discussed during interview)
Call: Required

We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join an Ambulatory Surgery Center in Washington, DC. The Surgical Technologist will support surgeons and the operating room team by preparing surgical instruments, maintaining sterile environments, and assisting during surgical procedures to ensure safe and efficient patient care.

• Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures.

• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.

• Plan and organize surgical case carts for both scheduled and emergency procedures.

• Ensure proper sterilization and handling of surgical instruments and equipment.

• Anticipate surgeon needs during procedures to maintain efficient workflow.

• Maintain strict infection control and patient safety standards.

• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and the surgical team.

• NBSTSA Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Required

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience – Required

• BLS Certification – Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent – Required

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from the facility.

• Experience working in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) environment is preferred.
