Responsibilities
Performs work under the direction of the Registered Nurse and carries out various tasks as competency documentation requires. The position provides direct patient care limited to non‑invasive procedures, unless specifically certified in phlebotomy.
The role involves working with multidisciplinary care teams to deliver high‑quality clinical services, research, and education, supporting GW Hospital’s mission of providing the highest quality healthcare, advanced medical technology, and world‑class service in an academic medical center dedicated to education and research.

QualificationsEducation and Credentials
- High School diploma
- Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course, Medical Assistant course, two years of nursing school, or other comparable education and job experience as stated in the MST comparable education policy
- At least six months of recent hospital, long‑term care, or medical work experience, providing knowledge of basic patient‑care activities related to multi‑skilled technician duties
- CNA certification preferred
Skills
- Fundamental computer skills and keyboard familiarity
- Ability to speak and write English fluently
- Demonstrated communication, organization, and critical‑thinking skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
