As a Field Access Manager supporting the U.S. Pharma Market Team for our REMOTE New York/ NJ/Eastern Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Territory
, you will use your broad knowledge of payer insurance coverage, prior authorizations, patient affordability programs, and the local managed‑care landscape to support provider offices and their patients in obtaining appropriate access to Alcon products.
Primary responsibilities include working with provider offices to ensure providers and staff are educated on payer coverage, payer utilization management criteria, and patient affordability programs. Additional responsibilities may include support of payer account initiatives and educating pharmacies on Alcon products and programs.
In this role, a typical day will include:- Manage strategic relationships with healthcare providers (HCPs), HCP Staff, and pharmacies within your assigned geography.
- Partner with field sales in assigned geographic area to build strong engagement and positive customer experiences with the Alcon pharmaceutical portfolio.
- Educate providers on payer access policies and processes related to prior authorization requirements and denials/appeals process.
- Analyze local market data and healthcare dynamics to help inform business planning with field teams.
- Collaborate with the Market Access team to develop payer and pull-through action plans.
- Provide managed care and reimbursement training and related education for internal and external stakeholders.
- Remain current on managed care, reimbursement, and health policy activities, serving as an expert on healthcare trends for provider accounts and internal stakeholders.
- Represent Alcon at various industry functions such as payer and reimbursement meetings, professional organization meetings, and other meetings as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school+13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
- Travel requirements:
Candidates must live near a major airport and be willing and able to travel approximately 50-75% (average 2-3 days per week, overnights likely) - Sponsorship Availability:

- Proven skills in strategic decision-making and problem-solving
- Excellent analytical skills focusing on key accounts and uncovering business opportunities.
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Robust knowledge of Prior Authorization and Utilization Management Processes
- Deep understanding of Managed Care, Government payer sectors, Integrated Health Systems
- Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- CPC, or similar coding certification
- Prior Authorization certification (i.e. PACS).
- Account Management or relevant experience working in the provider office setting, proven track‑record of building strong customer relationships
- Experience working collaboratively and cross‑functionally in a highly matrixed environment
