As an Event Manager, you will oversee the execution of meetings and events, serving as the primary link between the hotel and the client throughout their on-site experience. You will coordinate with all hotel departments to ensure each team understands and fulfills its role during the event. By delivering a seamless and exceptional experience, you play a key part in securing future business and repeat bookings.

You will drive revenue by upselling appropriate products and services. During the event, you will act as the client’s main point of contact, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded.

Essential functions include the following:

• Provide direction and supervision to affected departments and team members during the execution of meetings and/or events.
• Directly serve on-site group and catering customers in a proactive manner.
• Organize, plan and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals.
• Deliver timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person.
• Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, booking systems, and processes.
• Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts.
• Selling and influencing both internal and external clients.
• Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing issues and determining the best solution.
• Ensure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed.
• Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary.
• Other duties as necessary based on business needs.

Classification:
Full-Time

Shift: Various – must be available to weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Rate:
The annual salary for this role is $75,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

Minimum Years of

Experience:

one (1) year Hospitality related experience at manager level.

Preferred capabilities:

• Knowledge of hotel property management systems (Delphi.fdc)
• Significant experience in revenue management or a similar analytical role
• Relevant degree in business development or other relevant field, from an academic institution (CMP, CPCE)
