Base Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 / year based on experience + Quarterly & Sales Bonus Potential
Old Ebbitt Grill is seeking an experienced Events Manager to deliver exceptional events at one of Washington, DC’s most iconic venues.
With four unique event spaces—including a rooftop terrace overlooking DC—and capacity for up to 600 guests, this role oversees events from contract through seamless execution, ensuring outstanding service and client satisfaction. Reports to the General Manager and partners with the corporate events sales team.
Ideal for experienced catering, banquet, conference, or event professionals from restaurant, hotel, or catering backgrounds who are passionate about delivering flawlessly executed events.
This on‑site position requires evening and weekend availability and offers flexible scheduling with two days off each week to support work–life balance.

- 2+ years of experience executing events – required.
- Restaurant experience is preferred but not required.

- Lead execution of events from sales handoff through post‑event follow‑up.
- Serve as primary client contact, coordinating event details including menus, floor plans, timelines, tastings, client visits, and vendor logistics.
- Ensure all contracts are approved and confirmed by the client prior to the event.
- Prepare, detail, and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs); lead weekly BEO meetings with culinary and operations teams.
- Confirm final guest counts, manage food & beverage minimums, identify upsell opportunities, and ensure billing accuracy.
- Partner closely with Event Sales, Culinary, Beverage, and Operations teams to uphold quality standards and ensure flawless execution.
- Supervise, schedule, and support event staff, providing hands‑on leadership during events and fostering team development.
- Assist with day‑of coordination as needed.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
