The Dupont Circle Hotel is seeking a Senior Catering Sales Manager to lead and expand local catering revenue while delivering against ambitious commercial objectives. In this influential role, you will partner closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing and the Director of Catering Sales to shape and execute strategic initiatives that drive market share and exceed revenue goals.
You will play a key leadership role in positioning our event spaces across corporate, social, and wedding segments, strengthening the hotel’s reputation as a premier venue in Washington, DC, while mentoring best practices in sales execution and client engagement. This opportunity is suited to an accomplished, results‑driven professional who excels at building high‑value relationships, leading complex negotiations, and contributing strategically to business growth within a competitive luxury market.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively lead the sale, coordination, and execution of corporate meetings, social events, and weddings, managing the full lifecycle from prospecting through detailing to successful delivery.
- Facilitate and lead BEO meetings, ensuring clarity, accountability, and alignment across operations teams for flawless execution.
- Drive sustained revenue growth through advanced prospecting strategies, relationship cultivation, and high‑value partnerships.
- Establish, monitor, and optimize performance against ambitious KPIs, using data insights to refine strategy and maximize results.
- Ensure exceptional event execution and client satisfaction, demonstrating flexibility and presence during key events, including weekends when required.
- Maintain exemplary standards of professionalism across contracts, communications, and logistics, serving as a trusted advisor to clients.
- Contribute strategically in weekly revenue meetings, providing market intelligence, forecasting input, and actionable recommendations.
- Deliver compelling, executive‑level sales presentations that showcase the hotel’s offerings and secure long‑term client relationships.
- Leverage the Sales Management system to track activity, analyze performance, and inform strategic decision‑making.
- Act as a senior collaborator with leadership, providing regular performance updates and aligning on market strategy and revenue direction.
This role requires 3-5+ years of progressive catering sales experience, ideally within the luxury hospitality sector. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills - combined with strong market insight - are essential. The ideal candidate is commercially astute, strategically minded, detail‑oriented, and motivated to make a meaningful impact on the hotel’s continued growth.

The Dupont Circle Hotel in Washington DC is a luxury property located right on Dupont Circle in the nation's capital. Newly renovated the hotel has 327 chicly styled and luxuriously appointed guest rooms, with 12 bespoke penthouse suites located on the 9th floor of the hotel. Home to Pembroke Restaurant and Doyle Bar, the property also boasts almost 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
