The beautiful and iconic Washington Hilton is located less than 2 miles away from The White House and National Mall. We boast 1,100 guest rooms and 118,000 square feet of event space is carefully laid out over three floors. We are looking to add a Senior Event Manager to our team to handle our amazing large groups of 500+ peak! This is a great opportunity to work with high profile groups and put on amazing events!
Ideal candidate will have 2+ years of hotel events experience!
What will I be doing?
A Senior Event Manager is responsible for executing written sales agreements for large-scale and complex full-service meetings, conventions and events and the successful execution of such events in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
- Negotiation of business through proposals and contracts to close business.
- Creative design of menus and events to maximize revenue and event experience.
- Maintain existing relationships with corporate and social accounts.
- Responsible for event documentation and coordination with Sales, hotel departments and customers to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout the pre-event, event, and post-event phases of all hotel events.
- This position primarily handles complex events. You will be required to ensure a seamless turnover from sales to service back to sales.
- Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue by upselling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events.
- Serve as the event planner primary contact following turnover on property and is responsible for their experience.
