As key a member of the customer-oriented Human Resources department, the Manager, Talent Acquisition will provide dedicated full‑cycle sourcing and recruitment for various level staff positions delivering positive and efficient candidate experience. The Manager, Talent Acquisition will partner with the Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies and provide consultation and guidance on interview practices and onboarding planning.
The Manager, Talent Acquisition will have demonstrated the ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders, external community partners and organizations to support these efforts.
This position is based in Washington D.C. Interested candidates must be local to the D.C. Metropolitan area. This position will require at least one day a week in the office and as necessary to fulfill position requirements. The position offers a salary range of $70k‑$75k max. Exact compensation within the stated salary range may vary based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Sr. Talent Acquisition Manager to design & develop recruiting strategies, which support the development of an inclusive and qualified candidate pool.
- Facilitate the end‑to‑end recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding including but not limited to hiring manager intakes, actively sourcing candidates, posting positions, screening candidates, reference checks, background checks, negotiating job offers, and supporting candidates through post‑hire process.
- Actively maintain and promote the Share Our Strength employment brand via verbal and written communications.
- Proactively build and maintain talent pipelines for anticipated hiring needs.
- Demonstrate ability to attract, influence and convert passive talent through understanding of the organizations’ business and employee value proposition.
- Guide hiring managers through talent acquisition processes with on‑going, proactive communications regarding status of searches and to ensure a consistent and compliant interview process for each candidate.
- Provide guidance to hiring managers with interpretation and implementation of HR policies related to talent acquisition and recruiting best practices.
- Utilize and maintain recruitment tools such as applicant tracking system, traditional job boards and online recruiting tools.
- Work with Sr Manager, Talent Acquisition to gather and analyze candidate pipeline data to assess the effectiveness of recruiting efforts and shape the recruitment strategy based on the needs of the organization and hiring trends.
- Represent organization and build external relationships for recruiting purposes at identified networking and industry events and job fairs.
- Ensure all hiring policies and procedures (i.e. any compliance, legal and regulatory requirements) are adhered to.
- Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of Share Our Strength’s competitive landscape and talent market trends.
- Supports the Human Resources department in the development and/or implementation of new recruitment and onboarding projects.
- Partner with colleagues to support Share Our Strength's work to be an inclusive organization, ensuring this value is embedded in the organization and throughout our work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Three to five (3‑5) years of proven recruitment experience required. Experience working with applicant tracking systems (experience with Clear Company preferred).
