About the Role:

As a State and Local Government Healthcare Recruiter, you will be a vital link between qualified healthcare professionals and critical staffing needs within government healthcare facilities. Your primary responsibility is to manage the full recruitment lifecycle, while collaborating with client-facing teammates to ensure that all placements meet government compliance, credentialing and security standards. This is a dynamic, metrics-driven role that requires attention to detail, strong relationship-building skills and a deep understanding of the unique government healthcare landscape.

What

will you be doing day to day?
  • Talent Sourcing and Strategy:
    Develop and implement proactive recruitment strategies to attract top-tier healthcare professionals (nurses, allied professionals, therapists, etc.) for state and local government contracts. Deliver against key metrics such as time-to-fill, submission coverage Utilize various sourcing methods, job boards, social media, professional networks and internal database to build a robust candidate pipeline.
  • Candidate Management:
    Screen, interview and evaluate candidates to assess their qualification and experience for state and local contract roles. Provide guidance and support throughout the entire recruitment and onboarding process, including assisting with coordinating interviews and collecting feedback. Maintain accurate and detailed candidate records using ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems). Provide regular updates and reporting on recruitment progress and metrics.
  • Offer Negotiation:
    Negotiate competitive salary and benefits packages, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements for both the candidate and the organization, while adhering to contract terms.
  • Client and Stakeholder Relations:
    Collaborate with internal managers and government client representatives to understand specific staffing needs, job requirements and an awareness of the unique environment and protocols.
  • Compliance and Credentialing:
    Collaborate closely with internal credentialing and compliance teams to ensure that regulations and client-specific requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • Industry Expertise:
    Stay informed of healthcare industry trends, labor market conditions, and regulatory changes within the government healthcare sector.
Your

Experience and Skills:
  • 3–6 years of experience in high-volume recruiting, with at least 2 years specially focused on healthcare recruitment.
  • Prior experience staffing for government contracts or within the SLED space.
  • Ability to manage multiple candidate requisitions simultaneously.
  • Correctional, behavioral health or school settings, highly preferred.
  • Experience working on an offshore model.
  • Enthusiastic about being part of a recruiting organization with limitless opportunities.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), job boards and Google Workspace.
  • Proactive problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, and metric-driven environment.
  • High-energy and competitive nature that seeks results and personal accountability.
