Our client is a prominent nonprofit dedicated to community development and programming in DC, Virginia, and Maryland. The HR Director is hiring a talented Human Resources Coordinator to join their mission‑driven team.

Reporting to the HR Director, the Human Resources Coordinator provides day‑to‑day administrative and operational support across all HR functions. This is a hands‑on role for an adaptable professional as the organization is restructuring. The coordinator will be instrumental in maintaining accurate records and helping to optimize organizational processes and systems.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the full hiring cycle—including job postings, resume screening, and background checks—while coordinating a smooth orientation process for all new hires.
  • Benefits & FLSA Support: Act as the primary contact for employee benefit inquiries and enrollment while assisting with payroll, timekeeping, and FLSA‑related compliance.
  • Employee Relations & Records: Support the HR Manager with confidential employee relations matters, performance tracking, and maintaining audit‑ready personnel files in ADP.
  • Generalist Operations: Serve as the front‑line resource for policy questions, office procurement, and general administrative needs to keep the department running efficiently.
  • Training Coordination: Assist in developing and scheduling staff training sessions and materials to support ongoing professional development.
  • ADP HRIS management, benefits administration, onboarding, recruiting, background checks, and some administrative support functions to the HR team.

Compensation & Schedule

Salary: $26 - $28 per hour

Shift: First (9 AM - 6 PM)
