Data Engineer, Data Analyst
Overview
The Data Architect is responsible for designing and maintaining the organization s data architecture across systems including Net Forum and AWS. This role focuses on defining data models, integration patterns, and governance standards to ensure data quality, security, and scalability. The Data Architect collaborates with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with organizational goals.
Note:
This position is considered Hybrid and will need to commute to ACOG s office located in Washington, D.C.
- Build and configure database extensions, custom fields, and tables to support evolving business requirements that are consistent and scalable.
- Define and implement data governance standards covering data quality and compliance.
- Plan and document integration strategies between AMS, Data Lakehouse, and CDP to enable data security and seamless data flow across systems.
- Define data access models and controls to protect sensitive member and organizational data.
- Develop and optimize SQL scripts, views, stored procedures, and triggers to support data operations, reporting, and performance tuning.
- Evaluate and propose tools, technologies, and platforms that strengthen ACOG s data architecture and integration capabilities.
- Ensure scalability and performance of data systems to support future growth and evolving digital experience needs.
- Participate in systems testing, QA, and data validation processes to guarantee data integrity and reliability.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on data modeling, data warehousing, and cloud-based data services, advising teams on best practices.
- Support predictive analytics initiatives by ensuring data structures and integrations enable forecasting and KPI measurement.
- Provide technical guidance to stakeholders on proper use, configuration, and management of data systems in alignment with ACOG s practices.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including data architecture diagrams, data dictionaries, metadata catalogs, and integration specifications to ensure clarity, consistency, and knowledge transfer across teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned to advance ACOG s digital transformation and data.
- Advanced SQL development: queries, stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning.
- Data modeling expertise: conceptual, logical, and physical schema design.
- Cloud data services: AWS (Glue, Redshift, S3, Lambda), Azure, or GCP equivalents.
- ETL pipeline design: experience with tools like Airflow, dbt, or Informatica.
- Integration patterns: APIs, microservices, and middleware for CRM, CMS, and cloud.
- Data warehousing: design and optimization for analytics and reporting.
- Metadata management: cataloging, lineage, and documentation of enterprise data assets.
- Data governance frameworks: implementation of standards for quality, security, and compliance.
- Visualization support: familiarity with Power
BI or Tableau to enable reporting. - Performance optimization: scalability planning and system tuning for large datasets.
- Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data integration.
- Strong expertise in SQL development including queries, views, stored procedures, and triggers.
- Hands-on experience with Net Forum, AWS data services and Optimizely integration.
- Experience implementing data governance frameworks and standards.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power
BI, Tableau, or Quick Sight. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across technical and business teams.
- Strong understanding of cloud storage, data pipelines, and microservices architecture.
Salary Range
$125,000 - $130,000 USD
