We are seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design and scale secure, compliant AWS environments supporting mission‑critical systems. This individual will play a foundational role in building and automating cloud infrastructure that enables engineering teams to deploy software and advanced compute workloads in secure environments. The role combines hands‑on architecture, platform engineering, automation, and compliance alignment.

What You’ll Do:
  • Design and implement secure AWS environments supporting regulated government programs
  • Build scalable infrastructure aligned to CMMC Level 2 and related federal security standards
  • Develop and maintain modular infrastructure as code using Terraform
  • Manage Kubernetes‑based platforms supporting containerized and compute‑intensive workloads
  • Build internal automation and developer tooling in Python, Rust, or similar languages
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and support Dev Ops and MLOps workflows
  • Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure audit readiness and certification alignment
  • Contribute to technical hiring and mentor junior engineers as the team grows
What You’ll Have:
  • 7+ years of experience designing and operating AWS infrastructure in production environments
  • Deep expertise with Terraform and infrastructure as code best practices
  • Strong Kubernetes and container orchestration experience
  • Experience operating in regulated or security‑sensitive cloud environments
  • Familiarity with federal compliance standards such as CMMC, FedRAMP, NIST 800‑171 or similar
  • Ability to build internal automation or platform tooling in Python, Rust, or similar languages
  • Experience with AWS Gov Cloud
  • Experience supporting high‑performance compute or advanced analytics environments
  • Container security and software supply chain security experience
  • Experience designing infrastructure in air‑gapped or restricted environments
  • Background in defense, aerospace, or other highly regulated industries
  • This is an opportunity to help build secure, mission‑driven cloud infrastructure from the ground up within a rapidly growing defense technology organization. The role offers meaningful ownership, technical depth, and direct impact on national security‑focused programs.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Active Secret or Top Secret clearance preferred, or ability to obtain
  • Ability to work hybrid in the Washington, DC / Northern Virginia area
