ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a visionary Senior Cloud Systems Architect to provide technical leadership for a large-scale cloud migration initiative. In this role, you will be responsible for developing the overall architectural strategy and guiding the successful migration of on-premises workloads and applications to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). You will work closely with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers to devise secure, high-performing, and cost-effective cloud solutions that align with corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define architectural standards, patterns, and best practices for migrating enterprise workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Architect end-to-end cloud solutions, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and integration components within OCI.
- Lead the assessment of existing systems and develop comprehensive roadmaps and migration strategies.
- Ensure cloud architecture incorporates security, compliance, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to guide the migration of complex business applications, including Oracle technologies such as People Soft, Exadata, Autonomous Database, and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend adoption where beneficial.
- Serve as a mentor and technical authority for engineering teams, providing architectural guidance and oversight throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Maintain comprehensive architectural and process documentation, and communicate complex technical information effectively to leadership and stakeholders.

Education/
Experience:
- Requires Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of IT experience, including strong recent experience architecting Oracle solutions and leading cloud migration projects.
Required Skills:
- Demonstrated expertise designing and implementing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) solutions at enterprise scale.
- Deep knowledge of networking, security, identity management, and governance in cloud environments.
- Proficiency with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell).
- Outstanding analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
- Oracle Cloud certification(s) strongly preferred (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Professional).
What is ideal?
- Track record of architecting and leading successful large-scale cloud migrations.
- Experience with DoD/Army enterprise applications
- Hands-on experience with hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.
- Expertise in Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Exadata, Oracle Autonomous Database, and Oracle People Soft migrations.
- Experience with CI/CD, Dev Ops methodologies, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
