Why This Role MattersAs Transition Manager, you will be the architect of operational continuity during critical program transitions. Your leadership will ensure seamless service delivery, safeguard client operations, and position DMI for long-term program excellence.

What You'll LeadYou will own and execute all transition-in planning and mobilization activities, ensuring zero service disruption and full operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage a comprehensive 30/60/90-day transition plan
- Coordinate asset inventory, staff onboarding, and data migration activities
- Lead structured knowledge capture and transfer from incumbent teams
- Support ITSM tool migration and integration with DMI's MyServe platform
- Identify, track, and mitigate transition risks
- Provide executive-level status reporting to the Program Manager and client
Within your first 90 days, you will have:
- Executed a seamless transition with uninterrupted service delivery
- Established trusted relationships with key federal stakeholders
- Built a fully onboarded, aligned, and mission-ready team
- Implemented structured governance and risk controls that support steady-state operations
Long term, you will be recognized as a go-to leader for complex, secure transitions within DMI's federal portfolio.
Qualifications What You BringRequired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Management, IT, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of experience managing IT transitions or operational start‑ups
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale transitions in secure or regulated environments
- Strong stakeholder communication, risk management, and executive reporting skills
Preferred:
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
