Position
Power QA Engineer – Remote (Duration: 1 Year)
BS EE/CS

Key Questions (for Candidates)- What experience do you have with Mac hardware and macOS?
- Can you explain your debugging and troubleshooting skills?
- How do you prioritize tasks and communicate status to the team?
- Describe your experience with writing test reports and communicating identified issues.
- Do you have experience with object-oriented programming and automation scripting?
- Collecting and analyzing power test results on Mac platforms
- Designing tests and test plans to assess power impact of new HW/SW features
- Setting up and maintaining Mac systems on testing racks
- Maintain lab test equipment and infrastructure as requested by the team
- Prioritizing tasks and communicating status regularly to the team
- On-going documentation of test processes for future reference
- Knowledge of Mac hardware and/or macOS
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deep dive technically
- Excellent debugging/troubleshooting skills
- Strong written and verbal communications skills and ability to concisely present complex data
- Familiarity in Python or shell scripting to support basic automation scripting
- Basic competency in object-oriented programming (Swift, Python preferred)
- Experience in testing HW
- Understanding of computer architecture, EE fundamentals, and concepts of power consumption and power management
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Adjust to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
