Senior Database Administrator - Hosting Services

Overview

Senior Database Administrator to support a team providing enterprise IT operations support for a DHS customer. The project is focused on infrastructure management and operations, including monitoring, incident response, cybersecurity, system administration, patching, unified communications, and hosting, with an emphasis on automation to minimize manual intervention and improve resilience.

• Minimize manual intervention, improve efficiency, and reduce human errors
• Implement platforms that orchestrate work-flows for end-to-end task execution
• Utilize AI as well as predictive analytics to detect anomalies, predict failures, and initiate self-healing processes to reduce downtime and improve system resilience

• Bachelor’s Degree
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience with Oracle systems administration support for large scale environments specifically including:
• 10 years’ experience installing and configuring Oracle databases
• Working knowledge of advanced Oracle 11 and 12 features such as RAC and Automatic Storage Management (ASM)
• 10 years’ experience writing scripts with a scripting language
• Experience with Oracle on VMs
• Familiarity with Dev Ops and ITIL processes
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience on premise to AWS migrations
• Working knowledge of data base backup and restore
