Brief Description

The Red Gate Group is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with deep Service Now expertise to support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Chief Information Officer, Service Central Program Management Office (CIO-2). In this role you will lead and manage Service Now platform implementation projects, coordinating cross‑functional teams to deliver enterprise IT Service Management (ITSM) capabilities on schedule and within budget while meeting DIA mission requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage Service Now implementation projects from initiation through deployment, ensuring alignment with DIA enterprise IT strategy and program objectives
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures for Service Now module deployments and platform enhancements
  • Coordinate cross‑functional project teams including developers, administrators, business analysts, and Government stakeholders
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and risk throughout the project lifecycle using established project management methodologies
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with Government stakeholders to translate business needs into Service Now technical requirements
  • Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for Service Now development efforts
  • Track and report project status, milestones, risks, and issues to senior Government leadership and program management
  • Coordinate with Service Now SMEs and technical teams to ensure solutions meet functional and security requirements
  • Manage project dependencies and integration points with other enterprise systems and ongoing initiatives
  • Develop and execute change management and communication plans for Service Now deployments
  • Ensure Service Now implementations comply with DIA governance frameworks, security requirements, and configuration management standards
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, escalating critical issues to program leadership as appropriate
  • Prepare and deliver executive‑level briefings on project status, accomplishments, and roadmaps
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with Service Now representatives as needed
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery efficiency
Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI (CI Poly Preferred)
  • Master's degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in IT project management with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years
  • Demonstrated experience managing enterprise platform implementation projects, preferably Service Now or similar ITSM platforms
Travel Requirements
  • Travel will be required within Washington National Capital Region (NCR) on an as‑needed basis for customer or corporate requirements.
Level Of Responsibility
  • Work includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment concerning matters of administrative/operational needs.
Level Of Supervision Required
  • The supervisor sets the overall objectives and resources available. The employee plans and carries out the assignment resolves most of the conflicts, coordinates work with others and interpret policy on own initiative. The employee keeps the supervisor informed of progress, potentially controversial matters, or far‑reaching implications.
Work Environment
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate within a team environment.
  • Ability to type, sitting or standing, to complete work functions for hours at a time; ability to move between sitting, standing and walking on a frequent basis.
  • This is a full‑time position, requiring 40 hours per week on site, Monday through Friday, within the contract hours of 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
