About the Role
As a Senior Data Analyst supporting our Federal government client, you will be trusted to support the development of the Data Strategy, articulating how the organization will accelerate the adoption of data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) to enable joint operational situational awareness and data-driven decision-making. In this role, you will lead advanced analytics efforts, enhance enterprise data capabilities, and transform complex datasets into actionable insights that support mission outcomes.
Key Responsibilities (but are not limited to):- Develop scripts to curate select datasets for integration into business intelligence data products
- Enhance and maintain data pipelines used to restructure, clean, and transform datasets for integration into the enterprise data warehouse
- Design, enhance, and develop business intelligence dashboards and data visualizations to provide leadership with timely, actionable insights and joint operational situational awareness
- Lead exploratory data analysis efforts to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across complex datasets
- Identify and develop opportunities within existing data management and analytics efforts where AI/ML can expand capabilities and deliver performance enhancements
- Deliver spatial data science solutions to extract deeper insights, uncover hidden patterns, and improve predictive modeling
- Leverage advanced analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, ArcGIS, Palantir or equivalent platforms) to support decision-making and performance tracking
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise reports and presentations for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ensure analytics products meet federal standards for quality, accuracy, documentation, and usability
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on analytics best practices across data initiatives
You will work as part of a remote team; however, you may be required to attend occasional meetings at headquarters located in Washington, DC;
Reston, VA;
Arlington, VA or Boulder, CO.
- A Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant professional experience
- A Master’s degree and 5 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of 8 years of experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting advanced data analytics initiatives, preferably in a federal or consulting environment
- Advanced experience developing and maintaining data pipelines and enterprise data solutions
- Expert-level experience with data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, ArcGIS, Tableau, or similar platforms
- Experience applying advanced analytical techniques, including exploratory analysis and predictive modeling
- Proficiency with scripting or data manipulation languages such as SQL, Python, R, or equivalent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and effectively
- Ability to work independently and lead analytics tasks across multiple work streams
- US citizenship and the ability to pass public trust clearance or suitability
- Experience developing or operationalizing AI/ML solutions within analytics environments
- Experience delivering spatial or geospatial analytics solutions
- Experience operating or supporting Palantir or similar data foundry platforms
- Prior experience supporting large, complex federal programs or enterprise data environments
