In CTT, we see consumer-facing industries converging with technology disruption across B2C, B2B, and B2B2C models. Our aim is to build Partner connections by bringing together teams serving consumer-facing businesses, including retailers, technology, communications, media, and services, to strengthen narratives and executive-level relevance while maintaining deep sub-sector capabilities.
TelcoOliver Wyman helps players in the converged communications industry (fixed-line operators, Internet-service providers, cable TV operators, mobile operators, wholesale operators, and private equity groups) develop value growth strategies, improve offers and go-to-market performance, and maximize organizational effectiveness. Our clients include wireless and wireline equipment and communications service providers, enterprise IT, consumer electronics, semiconductors, broadcasters, publishers, platform operators, online and entertainment companies.

RoleEngagement Managers are critical leaders within our consulting team, partnering with clients and Partners to drive successful engagements. Initial responsibilities typically include:
- Providing day-to-day leadership of client projects and managing client relationships and commercial processes within engagements.
- Leading and managing complex programs to ensure on-time delivery aligned with goals, leveraging OW best practices and technical competencies.
- Guiding and influencing clients across situations, including execution of the commercial process, as trusted advisors.
- Identifying new and expanded business opportunities.
- Contributing to intellectual capital through thought leadership and broad topic knowledge.
- Developing others and building followership as an asset for the firm.
- Leading firm-building activities and exemplifying firm values with a strong personal brand.
- Overseeing and guiding the consulting team in developing hypotheses, reviewing client information, interviewing, deriving insights, and producing deliverables.
- Supporting Partners in project execution through project management, work planning, workflow management, and coaching/junior team development.
We value diverse backgrounds and seek high-caliber Engagement Manager candidates. Preference given to those with:
- 4-7 years of relevant strategy consulting experience with a top-tier firm (or similar organization)
- Track record of leading and managing teams and delivering results in fast-paced environments
- Strong strategic problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Quantitative/technical toolkit including proficiency in SQL and Python
- Machine learning, data science, AI/genAI capabilities preferred
- Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program
- Client management experience
- Analytical, rigorous approach to uncovering insights
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills
- Versatility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities
- Impeccable judgment and timely decision-making
- Humility and confidence with a collaborative mindset
- Willingness to travel 50% of the time, including internationally
