Responsibilities- A clear understanding of the practice driven around and the development of a Dev Ops based release platform
- Experience in the process of transitioning to Dev Ops practices - includes an understanding of best practices, implementation strategies (e.g. GIT branch strategies) and integration strategies and analysis of related tools.
- Familiarity and practical experience with the ‘continuous’ practices noted in our objectives
- Well versed with automation and provisioning frameworks primarily Ansible (Salt and Chef experience may suffice)
- Experience developing and automating deployment tools to support IAAS platforms – i.e. AWS, Rackspace
- Well versed with and working knowledge of other associated software deployment tools - SCM (GIT), CI tools (Jenkins CI), Artifact repositories (Arti Factory), Issue management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Crowd)
- Working knowledge of the following scripting languages:
Python, Bash - Working knowledge of the following software tools:
Maven, Gradle - Experience in supporting Test Driven and Agile Development
- Design best practices for build and release process and tooling
- Take charge of automating steps in our build and release systems
- Oversee daily responsibility of build execution for various systems/releases
- Lead agile practice implementation for project SDLC
- Experience in Cloud & Virtualization products
- Advanced experience in automation tools and best practices.
- 8 years’ work experience in sys-admin and release management
- Solid understanding of CI best practices and tooling, specifically Jenkins
- Strong experience with Git like DVCS systems and their use in release management, branching, merging, and integration strategies
- Extensive experience in building JAVA Web/Mobile Systems
- Well versed in using Solaris, and Linux operating systems
- Detailed knowledge of Configuration Management discipline
- Self-starter with ability to lead processes and projects
- Thorough knowledge of Scripting with Bash/Shell, Perl and Python
- Strong organizational, communication skills and detail oriented
- BS/MS Degree in Computer Science or similar technical field
- Dev Ops practices, deployment tools to support IAAS platforms i.e. AWS, Rackspace
