We are seeking a senior-level systems engineering professional with deep data policy and governance experience to support a mission-focused program within the IC community.

This role blends systems engineering, data stewardship, governance policy, and applied AI/ML to strengthen compliance, optimize data quality, and enhance certified data repository (CDR) processes.

If you’re passionate about data science but equally driven by policy stewardship and governance impact, this is a high-visibility opportunity to shape how data is responsibly managed across secure environments.

Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • BS in STEM or related field and 8+ years of experience (additional experience may substitute for degree)
  • Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IdAM) / ICAM delivery systems, authentication, authorization, and attribute architectures
  • Familiarity with data governance principles, compliance, and metadata management
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to balance technical solutions and policy requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical insights to policy and Sponsor stakeholders
What You’ll Do
  • Translate governance policies into operational processes and technical solutions
  • Partner with Data Stewards and stakeholders across the IC to optimize data attributes, metadata, and repository certifications
  • Develop predictive models and statistical analyses to monitor compliance and data quality
  • Apply AI/ML techniques to automate governance workflows such as anomaly detection and classification
  • Build dashboards and reporting frameworks to track governance performance
  • Ensure certified data assets meet standards for accuracy, consistency, and accessibility
  • Recommend process improvements that enhance stewardship efficiency
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with governance and metadata platforms such as Collibra, Informatica, or Alation
  • Awareness of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) policy and security policy development
  • Experience with automation pipelines or AI-enabled governance tools
  • Background in policy, governance, or compliance-driven environments

This is an excellent opportunity for a policy-minded engineer who wants to apply systems thinking and AI innovation to mission-critical data governance.
