Service Desk Technician

Our client, a prominent organization in the non-profit sector, is seeking a Service Desk Technician to join their team. As a Service Desk Technician, you will be part of the IT Support Department supporting end-users and remote users. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Service Desk Technician

Location: Washington, District Of Columbia

Pay: $25.50/hour

What's the Job?

• Provide level 2 technical assistance to end-users and remote users via phone, email, and walk-up support
• Track and document user issues, troubleshoot connectivity problems, and escalate issues as needed
• Support remote connection tools such as Citrix and SSL VPN
• Assist in user account management including creation, update, and removal
• Manage loaner devices and support deployment of software via automated systems

What's Needed?

• 3-4 years of basic computer expertise
• 2-3 years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with Microsoft Windows 7/8, OSX, iOS, and Android platforms
• Associate's degree or higher in a related field
• Customer service experience and familiarity with ticketing systems
