Business Analyst - Federal Government Project

Position Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Business Analyst with at least 5 years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will act as a strategic partner to our developers, architects, and testers, managing a complex portfolio of enterprise applications.

Documentation: Confluence, JIRA, and Service Now are used as knowledge repositories for project resources. The BA is responsible for capturing meeting minutes, recording bugs and defects, and updating project trackers.

Requirements management: The BA works with the program office and stakeholders to understand new features or enhancements, and decomposes these requirements into well-defined Initiatives, Epics, and User Stories within JIRA.

Sprint management: The BA coordinates with team members to assign the User Stories to developers and tracks sprint progress. Sprint cadences are bi-weekly in length, and the BA assists the scrum leads with managing the JIRA Kanban board and backlog.

Stakeholder communication: Responsible for managing incoming correspondence from the customer and responding to requests for information on time.

Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and executive leadership.

Organization: Superior organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage a diverse portfolio of applications simultaneously.

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
