Pro Sync is seeking a passionate Sr. IT Project Manager to provide strategic leadership and oversight for large-scale, mission-critical information technology initiatives within a complex federal enterprise environment. This role is responsible for full lifecycle project execution, systems integration, stakeholder coordination, and delivery of secure, compliant, and high-performing IT solutions. The position requires strong governance, risk management, and team leadership capabilities to drive successful outcomes across multidisciplinary technical teams.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the full project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of complex IT programs and systems integration efforts.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project management plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and performance metrics.
  • Direct multidisciplinary technical teams, including systems engineers, developers, cybersecurity professionals, and infrastructure personnel.
  • Oversee requirements gathering, systems analysis, architecture coordination, integration planning, and deployment activities.
  • Manage project scope, cost, schedule, and performance baselines using industry best practices and federal governance standards.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, operational, and programmatic risks; implement corrective action strategies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal cybersecurity, privacy, and information assurance requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide executive-level briefings, status reporting, and stakeholder communications to senior leadership.
  • Coordinate with contracting officers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure performance aligns with contractual obligations.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives, incorporating Agile, ITIL, or hybrid methodologies where appropriate.
  • Ensure proper documentation, knowledge transfer, and operational transition to sustainment teams.
  • A minimum of 10 years or more of progressively responsible experience in information technology project management, systems analysis, and systems integration in large-scale or mission-critical environments.
  • At least 5 years must be in a lead or supervisory capacity, managing multidisciplinary teams and overseeing the full lifecycle of complex IT initiatives.
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification (or equivalent) is required.
  • A minimum Public Trust security clearance or higher is required to be considered for this position.
Educational Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
Desired Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • An ITIL, Agile (Scrum Master/SAFe), or DAWIA Level III PM certification is highly desirable.
