BRIDGE is WWF's summer internship program. Launched in 2021, it is a paid internship opportunity aimed at a pool of talented undergraduate and graduate students who could bring fresh thinking and innovation to the environmental sector. In particular, WWF aims to employ interns who have not previously had a breadth of professional experience and have not previously considered conservation as a career pathway.

Position Summary

WWF seeks a BRIDGE Country Office Operational Excellence Undergraduate Intern to research, design, and implement a dynamic, interactive structure for the Country Offices' Office Manual and to support country offices in migrating and organizing their content within this platform. The role will also include developing clear instructional documentation to guide users on maintaining, updating, and modifying the content independently in the future.

Responsibilities

Internship Description:

    Evaluate platform options (SharePoint, Teams Wiki, One Note, PDF hyperlinked format, website-based hub, etc.) based on requirements.
  • Create a functional prototype of the interactive manual using selected tool(s).
  • Assist in reorganizing existing manual content into the new structure applying consistent formatting standards (headers, versioning, disclaimers, etc.).
  • Conduct small-group user tests to gather feedback on clarity, navigation, and usability.
  • Track issues found during testing, propose improvements and refine design and layout based on review.
  • Finalize the dynamic manual's layout and integrate it into the selected platform.
  • Provide suggestions for improvements, version control, and ongoing content management.
  • Recommend governance practices for updates (e.g., update cycles, approvals).

    - Create quick-reference guides, how-to instructions, or short demos for staff for ongoing maintenance and future edits.
  • Other operational team duties as time permits.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree in Communications, Digital Design, Information Science, UX Designer, or a related field. Those studying outside these areas are still highly encouraged to apply. Must be an actively enrolled student and not received degree at time of internship start date (June 1, 2026).

  • Subject expertise in one or more of the following areas is preferred, but not required:
