Key Responsibilities SharePoint Online Migration
  • Execute migrations from SharePoint Subscription Edition into SharePoint Online using enterprise migration tools (e.g., Share Gate, Migration Manager, Power Shell automation).
  • Diagnose and resolve issues during migration, including throttling, permissions inconsistencies, legacy workflow dependencies, or unsupported customizations.
  • Prepare pre‑migration assessments, inventory reports, mapping documents, content normalization, and remediation plans.
Modernization & Solution Enhancement
  • Convert legacy SharePoint customizations and workflows into modern SharePoint Online equivalents using Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint Framework (SPFx) as applicable. Assist with determine "best fit" replacements.
  • Collaborate with business owners to translate legacy forms and workflows (e.g., Info Path, SPD workflows) into sustainable, cloud‑ready solutions.
Power Platform Development
  • Build and enhance Power Apps connected to SharePoint lists, libraries, and external data sources.
  • Create Power Automate flows to replace legacy SharePoint Designer workflows and automate routine business processes.
  • Implement governance‑aligned best practices for Power Platform deployments, ALM, and solution lifecycle management.
  • Experience with on‑premises data gateways preferred.
Content Management & Site Updates
  • Advise on content clean‑up, restructuring, and metadata enrichment to improve usability and searchability.
  • Configure modern SharePoint sites, hubs, permissions, information architecture.
  • Partner with site owners to ensure alignment with governance, compliance, and user experience standards.
Power Shell & Automation
  • Develop custom Power Shell scripts (PnP.Power Shell, Microsoft Graph, CSOM) to automate migration tasks, reporting, bulk updates, and provisioning.
  • Troubleshoot Power Shell and API‑related issues during migration or modernization projects.
  • Maintain script repositories, documentation, and reusable automation modules.
  • Experience executing custom Power Shell and managing site migration automation.
Collaboration & Support
  • Work closely with project managers, business users, and technical teams to gather requirements and provide status updates.
  • Deliver post‑migration support including issue remediation, user training, and knowledge transfer.
  • Create and assist with documentation, migration plans, and governance guidance.
Requirements
  • 5 years of IT experience
  • Hands‑on experience migrating SharePoint environments to SharePoint Online using tools such as Share Gate, Metalogix, or native Microsoft migration tooling.
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online architecture, permissions, site templates, lists/libraries, and modern UI.
  • Proficiency executing custom Power Shell scripts for SharePoint administration, migration, and automation (PnP, Graph, CSOM).
  • Experience converting classic SharePoint Designer workflows or Info Path forms into modern solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS‑700, MS‑600, PL‑100/200/400, SC‑300).
  • Experience with SPFx, Type Script, React, or other modern development frameworks.
  • Background supporting federal, regulated, or secure enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with taxonomy, content types, and enterprise metadata strategies.
