Role Description

Cap8 Doors & Hardware™ is seeking a Division 8 Senior Detailer Engineer for a full-time, on-site role based in Washington, D.C. The role involves preparing detailed shop drawings using CAD software, reviewing architectural plans and project specifications, and coordinating with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure accurate and timely delivery. The Senior Detailer Engineer will analyze complex architectural projects, verify compliance with industry standards, and support the installation team with technical expertise.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in CAD software and architectural drafting
  • Strong understanding of Division 8 (Doors, Frames, and Hardware) specifications and materials
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, architectural plans, and specifications
  • Project coordination skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in problem-solving and troubleshooting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with project stakeholders
  • Experience in construction or architectural industries is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
