Primary Systems Analyst – Charles River Development
OverviewResponsible for managing production Charles River Investment Management System (IMS) solutions for multiple hosted and non‑hosted clients. Works closely with clients and internal teams to ensure optimal system performance, configuration, and support.
Responsibilities- Provide expert remote management, administration, and support for client production IMS solutions.
- Assist clients in optimal use of the system, including user administration, privilege management, and parameter configuration.
- Maintain system availability, tuning application and database performance, and monitoring daily operational processing.
- Apply IMS and database software patches, perform version upgrades, and support problem resolution.
- Assist with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans.
- Coordinate smooth transition of new clients to production operations.
- Collaborate with vendors to deliver integrated services.
- Participate in ongoing service enhancement, process improvement, and investigation of third‑party tools to automate delivery.
- Provide periodic out‑of‑hours support and weekend work as required.
- Occasional travel to client sites for planning and review meetings.
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant industry experience in financial services, investment management, or trading systems.
- Experience with Charles River IMS highly preferable.
- Proven ability to partner with internal departments to deliver superior customer service.
- Hands‑on experience with MS SQL Server, Oracle, and/or Sybase database configuration, operations, and basic administration.
- Knowledge of servers, operating systems, networks, scripting, XML, programming languages, job scheduling, system monitoring, and disaster recovery/business continuity.
- Excellent customer service, technical troubleshooting, and interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Financial Engineering, Engineering, Science, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics (preferred).
Salary Range: $70,000 – $118,750 per year (range may vary by location).
