Immediate need for a talented Senior Lead with strong Murex batch support . This is a 12+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Washington DC (Onsite).

Pay Range: $50 - $60/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Requirements and TechnologyExperience:
- Operating Systems:
Navigation skills in Linux/Unix environments and command-line interfaces. - Scripting:
Ability to read and execute basic Shell (Bash) or Perl scripts used in batch automation. - Database and SQL:
Proficiency in writing basic SQL queries (Oracle or Sybase) to check table status, verify batch data, or investigate data discrepancies. - Scheduling Tools:
Hands-on experience with enterprise schedulers like Control-M, Dollar Universe, JS7 Job Scheduler, or Tidal. - Monitoring Tools:
Familiarity with monitoring frameworks such as ITRS Geneos, Grafana, Splunk, or Nagios. - Incident Management Tools:
Working knowledge of ITSM tools such as Service Now or Jira for logging, tracking, and managing incidents. - Murex :
Murex MX3 experience with (FO/MO/BO) functional knowledge, Knowledge of standard Murex error messages, Batch monitoring, functional knowledge, Business analyst experience, managing batch scripts which are provided by the Vendor/WBG in python/Cshell/Bash, Knowledge of scheduler is a must. - Experience with Python scripting for automation or log parsing.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework and incident management best practices.
- Shifts and flexibility:
Willingness to work in shifts (including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays) to support global operations 24/7. - Communication:
Clear verbal, MS Teams and written communication skills to coordinate with end users, L1/L2/L3 teams, and management during incidents. - Attention to detail:
Ability to carefully review logs, error messages, and batch outputs to accurately identify root causes. - Problem solving:
Logical and structured approach to troubleshooting, able to work through issues step by step under time pressure. - Team collaboration:
Comfortable working with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, DBAs, and infrastructure teams. - Ownership and follow-through:
Takes responsibility for open issues, follows up until resolution, and does not let things fall through the cracks.
