Unified Communications Technician

The Unified Communications Technician is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of all audio-visual (AV), video teleconferencing (VTC), and telephony systems within the organization.

This role involves managing in-house AV equipment in conference rooms, handling TV (IPTV) systems within the office, and being the main contact for major event preparation and technical operations for all live events. The Unified Communications Technician will also provide guidance and design recommendations for all related systems.

• Support and manage AV, VTC, and phone issues.
• Oversee the management of in-house AV equipment in conference rooms.
• Handle TV (IPTV) systems within the office.
• Serve as the main contact for major event preparation and technical operations for live events.
• Manage Zoom Phone and other communication tools.
• Provide guidance and design recommendations for all related systems.
• Ensure the quality, reliability, and security of the unified communications infrastructure.
• Monitor the performance, availability, and capacity of the systems.
• Establish and enforce standards, policies, and procedures for the unified communications systems.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry best practices.
• Handle Digital Signage requests.

• 3+ years' experience with Zoom and Teams AV, phone, and events; audio visual engineers, camera operators, etc. – experience like the aforementioned (knowledge of AV devices such as Crestron, Logitech).
• Knowledge of Digital Signage – 3+ years' with Digital Signage platforms such as App Space, Populo, Bright Sign, etc.
• Room installation experience (3+ years); updating AV technologies.

• Knowledge of and passion for media, entertainment, and technology industries (including key players, growth trends and drivers, new media models, industry structure, etc.).
• Familiarity with streaming and similar products/services.
• Experience working in a national or global company.
• Comfortable in working in highly iterative and somewhat unstructured environment.

• Proven experience in managing AV, VTC, and telephony systems.
• Experience with Zoom and Teams AV, phone, and event support.
• Knowledge of IPTV systems.
• Knowledge of Digital Signage.
• Knowledge of AV devices (Crestron, Logitech, etc.)
• Experience in event preparation and technical operations for live events; including special audio considerations and video sharing.
• Room installation experience.
