Description
The Systems Engineer administers and sustains the SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, and supporting platform environments while serving as the embedded configuration management lead.
Will be required to go onsite in Washington, DC
Position Responsibilities- Administer and maintain SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, and associated platform services.
- Manage SharePoint service applications, web applications, farm features, solutions, search functionality, Alternate Access Mapping, and platform configurations.
- Lead configuration management processes, configuration baselines, change tracking, release traceability, CCB support, and change-impact analysis.
- Coordinate implementation planning, release readiness reviews, deployment scheduling, rollback planning, and change risk evaluation with M365 Developers, Sr. DBA, PM/BA, and RMF Specialist.
- Support vulnerability remediation, security configuration, patching, infrastructure hardening, RMF evidence, and compliance validation.
- Maintain platform documentation, configuration records, operational procedures, recovery procedures, architecture diagrams, and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Support backup/recovery, COOP, disaster recovery testing, failover, migration, modernization, and service improvement activities.
- SharePoint administration.
- Microsoft 365 administration.
- Windows Server administration.
- Active Directory and identity/access support.
- Power Shell scripting.
- Configuration management and change control.
- CCB package support.
- Vulnerability remediation and security configuration.
- Backup/recovery and continuity support.
- Technical documentation and operational governance.
- Experience with Microsoft Server 2016 or higher.
- Experience with Azure administration and development.
- Experience managing services applications, creating web applications, and managing farm features and solutions.
- Experience managing vulnerability remediation for servers in accordance with cybersecurity requirements.
- Experience with networking, server administration, Active Directory, Power Shell, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint environments.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have an Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, systems engineering, cybersecurity, or related technical discipline
- 8+ years total IT/program experience
- 5+ years of experience in Federal or DoD IT programs
- 3 years of experience with Azure Database Administrator Associate and Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate experience
- Microsoft Certified:
Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate. - Security+ or equivalent DoD 8140/IAT II certification.
- ITIL Foundation
- Experience with CCB processes, configuration baselines, release readiness, and controlled deployments.
