We are seeking an experienced Oracle/MySQL Database Administrator to support database infrastructure and Drupal-based applications hosted primarily in AWS Gov Cloud. This position combines database administration, systems administration, performance tuning, and web application support across development, pre-production, and production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, maintain, and tune Oracle and MySQL database environments.
- Manage Oracle RAC, RMAN backups, disaster recovery, storage, database space, and high availability.
- Administer Amazon RDS databases and supporting AWS Gov Cloud infrastructure.
- Support Drupal environments running on Red Hat, PHP, Apache, and AWS EC2.
- Create and configure database schemas, perform migrations, and update database scripts.
- Support data imports, stored procedures, database replication, and application development activities.
- Troubleshoot system and application issues and apply security and operational patches.
- Support legacy Cold Fusion, JRun Java, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle RAC environments.
- Perform UNIX/Linux systems administration and ongoing performance monitoring.
Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of database or systems administration experience.
- Hands-on experience administering Oracle databases, including RAC and RMAN.
- Experience with MySQL, Amazon RDS, and AWS-hosted infrastructure.
- Experience supporting Drupal, Red Hat Linux, PHP, Apache, and EC2 environments.
- Experience with database backup, recovery, migration, replication, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- AWS Gov Cloud or federal systems experience is preferred.
