Senior Technical Advisor

As the Senior Technical Advisor within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), USSS, you will serve as the principal architect of the enterprise-wide technology vision and strategy for the agency, ensuring alignment with mission objectives, federal mandates, and industry best practices. In this role, you will have overall responsibility for developing multi-year technology roadmaps and digital transformation initiatives to position the USSS for future mission success.

Additionally, you will advise the Chief Information Officer (CIO), Deputy CIO, and other senior executives on the strategic direction of technology investments, enterprise architecture, and modernization priorities. You will provide authoritative recommendations on technology adoption, risk management, and resource allocation at the executive level, as well as drive the adoption of advanced technologies-including cloud computing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity frameworks, data analytics, emerging technologies-across all business and operational units within OCIO.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Establish, formalize, and enforce enterprise technical standards, governance frameworks, and best practices for system architecture, software engineering, and IT operations.
  • Ensure consistency, interoperability, and compliance across all OCIO-supported platforms.
  • Represent the USSS in executive level interagency, federal, and industry forums, advocating for the agency's technology interests and forging strategic partnerships to advance the mission.
  • Advise the CIO on workforce development and change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of new technologies and processes. Facilitate collaboration between technical, business, and mission stakeholders to deliver enterprise solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive plans for integrating OCIO products and services into USSS Field Offices and across investigative and protective programs.
  • Ensure technology solutions focused on customers while ensuring scalability, security, and resiliency to evolving threats.
  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping of financial expenditures, maximize operational efficiency, and compliance with all related IT policies.
