Senior Salesforce Leader
LABUR is partnering with a client to identify a Senior Salesforce Leader to take ownership of a mature, five-year-old Salesforce environment with a primary focus on Sales Cloud and Service Cloud. This senior-level leader will serve as equal parts architect, technical lead, and people manager - driving platform strategy, solving complex technical challenges, and building a high-performing Salesforce team. The organization has a solid foundation in place but significant work ahead to optimize, modernize, and scale the platform.
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role follows a hybrid work arrangement with one day per week on-site in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
* Translate business and technical requirements into well-architected Salesforce solutions that maximize the value of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
* Lead technical design sessions and produce clear, comprehensive solution architecture documentation
* Define and implement Salesforce technical strategy, platform standards, and engineering processes across the organization
* Develop short-, medium-, and long-term Salesforce platform roadmaps aligned with business priorities
* Balance forward delivery velocity with tech debt reduction and overall platform health
* Partner with business stakeholders at all levels to align technical execution with organizational goals
* Build, mentor, and manage a team of Salesforce engineers and administrators, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
* Evaluate and recommend integration approaches, third-party tools, and architectural patterns to extend platform capabilities
Qualifications
* 10+ years of hands-on Salesforce platform experience with deep expertise in Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
* 4+ years in engineering leadership or people management roles, including proven experience leading teams of 5+ engineers, administrators, or consultants
* Strong integration experience spanning APIs, middleware, and platforms such as Mule Soft
* Proficiency with CI/CD, Dev Ops practices, and Agile development methodologies within Salesforce delivery environments
* Demonstrated success modernizing or transforming legacy Salesforce implementations
* Salesforce certifications preferred (e.g., Platform Developer, Application Architect, Technical Architect)
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience; excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Compensation
$90-$100/hr - Dependent on fit and experience
